- 500 g strawberries (stems removed), cut into quarters
- 20 dl red wine
- 2 tablespoons icing sugar
- Sichuan pepper to taste
- Put the strawberries in a large bowl. Sprinkle the sugar. Pour over the wine. Stir gently to dissolve the sugar. Season with the pepper slightly
- Cover with cling film and keep in the fridge. Stir occasionally.
- Let macerate for at least half an hour, before serving
